Wonder Forge Games Review
I was so excited to receive some new fun board games from Wonder Forge to stick in my children’s Easter baskets! Now that we have had some time to try them out, I wanted to tell you all about them!
My 6 year old got the Nickelodeon™ Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles™ Clash Alley™ Strategy Board Game. This game is where you can “Beat the bad guys in this action-packed 3D strategy board game!” Run, climb, and leap as you race through the 3D warehouse on important missions to rescue April, recover objects–and even pick up a pizza! On the way, your Turtle must battle mutants, Kraang, and Shredder. It is a great game for this age range because it helps to teach them strategic thinking, cooperation, teamwork, and physical dexterity. There are a lot of pieces to the game so I knew that I needed to keep it up on the counter, out of reach of my 2 year old. It kept my son actively engaged though, he and his dad have played it a ton since Easter Sunday! They kept using strategy on the best ways to win but had a lot of fun just playing and not focusing on winning too! It is suggested for ages 6+, 2-4 players and retails for about $16.99 at places like Target.
My 2 year old was delighted to find the Disney Matching Game because he absolutely loves all things Disney right now! I was excited too, because we are heading to Disney World in September and I am trying to teach him about more and more characters! This is a classic game of picture matching! Mickey, Donald, Tinker Bell, and all your favorite Disney characters show their Easter spirit in colorful matching tiles. He loved just sitting and looking at the pictures on the cards, but was intrigued when his older brother and I showed him how to turn them over one by one and try to remember where characters were “hiding.” This helped to promote matching, memory skills, turn-taking and playing together! All of which made for hours of fun over the last few weeks! This is one that is easy enough for me to pack up and take to Disney with us too so the kids have something to do in the hotel room at night. It is suggested for ages 3+, 1 or more players and retails for about $7.99 at places like Target.
