Camp-A-Bunga is for children ages 4 and up!  Weekly activities include gymnastics, swimming, dance, cheerleading, martial arts, outside play time and a different theme each week.  Our focus is on fun and fitness!  If you aren’t sure of your schedule, we even take registrations the day of the camp (additional $5 fee applies).  Camp includes lunch and an afternoon snack. 

DATES/TIMES:  May 29 - August 11 at the Louisville location and June 4 - August 7 at the Oldham County location.  Monday through Friday from 9am to 5pm with early drop off and late pick up options available.

When school’s out, Shakespeare ‘s in! Our mission for children and art is:

‘See it.  Hear it.  Do it!’  Camp Shakespeare creates opportunities for

children and young adults aged 4-18 to explore the theatre arts through

imaginative play, visual arts, movement, storytelling, performance, and

more! A summer with Camp Shakespeare will foster an appreciation for

the words and works of William Shakespeare as well as encourage the

self-confidence of a growing theatre artist! Kentucky Shakespeare strives

to make this unique summer camp experience one that will promote

The Groundlings     Ages 4–6  - In this one-week introduction to the magical world of theatre, campers will explore aspects of imaginative play, visual arts, movement and storytelling.   The camp culminates in a sharing of their work on the Kentucky Shakespeare stage.

The Noblings     Ages 7-10 - Participants in this two-week camp will explore the world of theatre through acting exercises, scene work, creating props, and designing sets and costumes.  On the final day, participants will share their work with friends and family on the Kentucky Shakespeare stage!

The Revelers     Ages 11–14 - The Revelers is a three-week in-depth exploration of acting and Shakespeare.  Campers will learn about movement, voice,  text analysis, improvisation and stagecraft. Daily rehearsals encourage ensemble-building, self-confidence and teamwork, while allowing each camper to grow and explore at his or her own pace.

Camp Shakespeare: Frankfort Ages 7-15 - Liberty Hall Historic Site - In this week-long camp, students of all skill levels study acting technique while building upon previous experiences through fun, exploratory exercises including character building and teamwork.  Campers will share the culmination of their work on the final day.  Keith McGill returns as teacher and director of the Frankfort camp.

Camp Shakespeare: Lexington Ages 7-18 - Sayre School - This one-week introduction to theatre teaches acting skills, how to read and comprehend the works of  Shakespeare as well as emphasizes the importance of teamwork.  The curriculum, tailored to each session and age level, culminates in a showcase of the students’ work.  Kentucky Shakespeare is excited to bring this new, comprehensive theatre education experience to Lexington through our partnership with Sayre School.

The Globe Players     Ages 15-18 - This six-week training program is in an advanced theatre conservatory designed for high school students.  Students participate in daily workshops on voice, movement and acting with professional mentors, coinciding with an intensive rehearsal schedule.  The culmination of their work results in a week-long run of a full-length production of "The Comedy of Errors" on the C. Douglas Ramey Amphitheatre stage.  Veteran Kentucky Shakespeare actor and current Director of Education, Kyle Ware, is the Globe Players teacher and director.

At the Parklands of Floyds Fork, campers grades K-6 spend their days participating in discovery based field experiences and science investigations that keep them engaged and entertained while school is out for the summer! Girl Scout Camp - From June 14 - July 31 campers who have completed Kindergarten through 12th grade can experience anything from an aquatic adventure at land between the lakes in Western Kentucky, to the "Wizarding World of Pennyroyal" (a Harry Potter themed camp), to 4 days of Frozen Fun (based on the movie Frozen!). Our two summer resident camps are Camp Bear Creek located in the Kentucky Lake region, and Camp Pennyroyal in Utica, KY near Owensboro. Louisville Metro Parks and Recreation - offering summer camps at nine of its twelve community centers. Registration begins Monday, March 23rd. Camp programs are designed for ages 6-12, with a teen camp offered at the South Louisville Community Center for ages 13-15. Fees range from $60 to $95 per child per week, depending on camp location. Reduced fees are available for those who qualify. This year’s camp program will go for eight weeks and each week will be a new camp week.  Parents will have the opportunity to sign up for all eight weeks or for individual weeks.

Louisville Nature Center - a great way for kids to learn about nature while having fun! Camps at Louisville Nature Center offer fun games, guided hikes in the nature preserve, and exciting nature study for budding naturalists--ages 4-12! Skyzone Indoor Trampoline ParkSkyCamp is the perfect way to combine FUN and fitness! It is five, half days of instructor-lead activities, age appropriate SkyRobics, open jumping, and Dodgeball, all incorporating the fun and excitement of Sky Zone! Daily arts & crafts and snack also provided! St. Joseph Child Development Center -  healthy breakfasts, lunches, and snacks prepared by a professional chef, at least 3 off campus field trips a week, plenty of fun activities here on campus that include art projects, nature hikes, cooking and gardening, full size gym with equipment, a game room, playgrounds, and a sports field. The children also participate in service projects. YMCA Camp Piomingo - is a resident overnight camp for children ages six to sixteen. Camp Piomingo is located in Otter Creek Recreational Park in Brandenburg, KY. Our traditional and equestrian summer camp sessions run June 7th – August 1st. We host 1 week and 2 week sessions with check in times Sunday afternoon and check out Saturday mornings.  Our Day Camp season is June 8th – July 31st and serves children 6-12 years of age. Costs of each session/program vary – please visit our website.

YMCA Childcare Enrichment Program Summer Camp & Creative Adventures - kids stay engaged all while learning and exploring.  This year, your camper has the opportunity to become a cowboy, explore the galaxy, make extra fun food, learn how they are unique, take part in a luau and much, much more.  We make learning fun through enriching field trips and weekly, theme-based activities that encourage kids to become engaged with science, reading, math and other fun subjects.  CEP- June 1- July 31 Ÿ 7AM-6PM - (limited sites August 3-7).  Creative Adventures- May 26 – August 7
